The Model Village Trust has renovated the children’s library at Manav Mandir Gurukul in New Delhi, which suffered severe damage during the floods of 2023. Situated in Sarai Kale Khan, Manav Mandir Gurukul is dedicated to the welfare of destitute children, providing support for those separated from their parents or orphaned. This impactful project came to fruition with the generous financial backing of Almaha Food International, undertaken as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. The library was formally inaugurated by Acharya Shri Roop Chandra Ji Maharaj, the esteemed founder and President of Manav Mandir Gurukul.
The administration of Manav Mandir Gurukul proudly shared success stories of numerous children who, having received education at Gurukul, have gone on to build illustrious careers in prestigious institutions, earning degrees in medical, engineering, and other fields.
The inauguration ceremony took place on December 17, 2023. Dr. Sanjay Ingole, Chairman of Model Village Trust, addressed the children during the event, stating, “Dear children, your dreams can only be realized through education. Education is the key to becoming who you want to be. I am pleased to witness the excellent arrangements this Gurukul has made for all of you, ensuring that all your needs are met under one roof. Let us also reflect on those less fortunate children who are unable to attend school.”
The event was graced by the presence of Sadhvi Shree Kanaklata Ji Maharaj, Sadhvi Shree Samta Shri Ji Maharaj, and Arun Yogi, who serve as Trustees of Manav Mandir Gurukul. Additionally, the gathering included Dr. Habeebul Rahman VM, the General Secretary of MVT, PK Noufal, the Treasurer of MVT, and Mr. Gaurav, the Chief Operating Officer of Almaha Food International. Also in attendance were Mr. B Singh (AGM, Almaha Food International) and Asif Anwar (National Coordinator, Model Village Trust).
