On the auspicious occasion of the 74th Republic Day of India, Model Village Trust organized Mahila Sabha in the rural parts of the country to uphold the constitutional values of equality. MVT reached out to rural India and raised the slogan, Celebrating the republic, celebrating equality. The program aims to challenge gender-based discrimination and promote equality based on the principles of the constitution of India. The organization has organized Mahila Sabha in over 50 villages across the north Indian states of the country.
The event manifested the idea of an inclusive society where respect for the dignity of women is catered. The event started with flag hosting, where women together hosted the national flag with a pledge to raise their voices against gender-based discrimination in society.
